Hello!
Students became famous while peforming Romeo and Juliet at Town Hall Theater this week. It definitely was a L-O-N-G day of acting and students really pulled it off. It was amazing for me to see 100 students pull it all together. There is so much that goes into such a production and so much going on behind the scenes; everyone working together, encouraging each other, supporting each other and applauding each other. And all of that was just the night itself. Never mind the weeks leading up to the show when students were helping each other learn lines, remember movements and just in general to learn the story of Romeo and Juliet. Every single student wants to do it again and believe it or not, a few wanted to put on another one for that very evening!
We were able to do this because of a grant I worked on with Lindasy Pontuis from Town Hall Theater. I have received a few emails from parents letting me know what a positive experience they thought it was and I really appreciate those! If anyone else felt it was a worthwhile experience and could send a few sentences with any positive feedback, I would then be able to use that information to not only thank the grantees from this year but also to incorporate the information when applying for a grant next year. If you have the time or inclination I would appreciate it. Thank you!
***I didn't take many photos of the evening and would love to post some. If you have any you would like to share with me please feel free.
