Finally! This Tuesday students will be working together with students from Cornwall and Beeman Elementary to put on Romeo and Juliet for you. Tickets were sent home last Monday. (Please note, the evening shows are at 6:00p.m. and 7:30p.m., not a.m as the ticket states!) Students will be putting on the finishing touches to their scenes at the Town Hall Theater during the morning and will have a dress rehearsal on stage at 1:00. They will return to school in time for dismissal. It would be great if students could wear ALL BLACK on Tuesday, during the day and evening. Students are needed at Town Hall Theater at 5:30 for the evening shows. They can bring a water bottle and a simple, mess-free snack. You may just drop them off and then return for the show you are watching. They will be ready to be picked up after the second evening show around 8:30. (I think they will be tired after the long, but hopefully fun day!)
A few more tickets have become available, so please let me know if you were hoping for more. I would also happily take any that you may have been given, but realize you no longer need!
If you are helping your learner to practice these last couple of days, please encourage them to be loud! They will not have microphones, so in order to be heard they need to be much louder than they think! It was great to have back to back, small group practices last week with our actors from THT. Students really were able to improve their scenes.
Please feel free to email me with any questions.
We are also still collecting food for the food shelf. They picked up our donations before break and we donated about 200lbs of food. Great job Salisbury! We will continue collecting through December.
The week before break 5th graders were excited to show off the rockets they built at STARBASE earlier in the year. Check out some great photos from the event:
