Literacy-
We are working to complete national park projects and will share our learning and projects with you on June 9th. We hope you can come! We are also continuing to work on poems to share with you on Poetry Night. More details will follow about that evening. We should be able to finish our read aloud, Lost on a Mountain in Maine this week and students are still reading independently as well. There is a lot of finishing up going on in the classroom right now!
Math-
Fourth graders are working on finding equivalent fractions and benchmark decimals. We will finish the unit this week and try to work through our last unit where students use all their math learning from the year to design fictional playgrounds.
Fifth graders will be getting back into the swing of things after KEEC and two weeks of testing that interrupted math classes. We are working to divide large numbers with double digit numbers efficiently.
